Announcing our 1st Annual Performing Arts Summer Intensive for kids ages 6-14 (going into 1st thru 8th grade). Come experience combined years of music and arts education for a summer intensive culminating in a performance on Thursday July 16th at 7 pm!
Kids will have the opportunity to:
-sing in a children's chorus
-create stage backdrops
-act in a drama
-practice and perform their instrumental skills
All the performing art skills will be showcased cooperatively in an evening performance on Thursday, July 16th at 7 PM.
This years theme is 'Our Heroes' draws on characters from biblical history children can learn from. Each evening, beginning at 6 PM and concluding at 8 PM, will include a chorale rehearsal, time for art, and snack with story-telling. The Summer Intensive will run Monday-Thursday from 6-8 PM inside Grace Chapel Church located at 1060 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd. Akron, OH 44312. The intensive is sponsored and put on by Harmony Springs Christian Church artists and musicians.
Lead by Jessica Bell, University of Akron Masters in Music Education and supported by some of the finest musicians in the area.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help in areas of Music, Arts, Stage design, A/V, story-telling/teaching, and snack preparation and serving.
