January 15 | 7 PM
Our esteemed Pastor Kim Barnett will be leading a January 15 Martin Luther King Jr. Day service starting at 7 PM at First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls (a sister DOC congregation).
The theme for the MLK service is ‘Dream Equality.’ Along with various speakers giving brief MLK proclamations, children from Emmanuel Elementary School will present ‘A March on Selma’ in word and song.
Musical offerings from the Adult New Exodus Choir will also be included.
Harmony Springs is a pro-reconciling, anti-racist church. We join with other Disciple of Christ congregations to
make visible God’s beloved community. We are a church that strives to listen to the once silenced voices of our racial/ethnic communities, learn from their wisdom and gain insight from their leadership.
The MLK Jr. Day service is an opportunity to reflect and be moved to action in our continued quest to collaborate with God in bringing justice to the world.
