At Harmony Springs, Easter is more than a one-day story about resurrection. As people living in the way of Jesus we recognize that the most beautiful-hope-filled Jesusy moments of life are resurrection moments. The resurrection story we tell on Easter was just the beginning. Resurrection is central to living in the way of Jesus. In resurrection, 'The power of resurrection, of hope over despair, of liberation over oppression, of life over death has been unleashed in the world.' In “And Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou puts it beautifully: You may write me down in history, With your bitter, twisted lies, You may trod me in the very dirt, But still, like dust, I’ll rise. Does my sassiness upset you? Why are you beset with gloom? ‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells, Pumping in my living room. Just like moons and like suns, With the certainty of tides, Just like hopes springing high, Still I’ll rise.
